M Kaz took me to the VET this afternoon and we were both incredibly surprised about a couple of things when we got there. No – not the dog the size of a small horse or Peaches the very playful and exuberant not-puppy (8 years old) who was a tad early for her appointment. No – what caught us off guard was that I am now over 6kg (just a smidge) and – good grief – there’s a note on my file … not just any old note … no – it’s a CAUTION! We’re not sure the VET was meant to tell us that – but that particular cat fact (!?!) is out of the bag now and there will be no stuffing it back in. I’d like to say I was on my best behaviour this visit – like I am every other visit – and I think I was – M Kaz does too – but obviously the truth doesn’t always matter in the official reports. One vaccination, one nail trim later, a heart murmur check (no change), teeths inspected (all okay) and M Kaz and I were good to go. We all know M Kaz will now go through her notes and see if I had been problematic at the Vets … well, this Vet… we know they called me ‘the Spitfire’ at that other Vet – not my fault/doing – or was it? There will be no admissions of guilt from this quarter.

I’m willing to bet Mimi has never had this kind of suggestion/slur/accusation levelled at her. And if it were, I know her Mummy (aka Aunty M) would have defended her just as stridently as M Kaz did me.
