I don’t know why I’m the one who needs to give up my room when Aunty Wendy and Uncle Wayne come to visit. Okay, I don’t sleep in my room all the time but it’s always good to have the option. And, yes, I did spend some time in Aunty Wendy’s suitcase – it’s been a while since those Mummie’s have had one out for me to sit in. I suppose they will go travelling again one day – but only if they have someone move in to stay with me rather than them sending me away! I know Aunty M is thinking about not sending Mimi to stay with Aunty Michelle the next time she goes away because Mimi already talks enough. Yes, Aunty Michelle always … always … always talks visiting cats and we talk back to her – and then just keep doing that when we go home. Not everybody likes wall-to-wall cat talking. Certainly no-one that I know.

And as quickly as Aunty Wendy and Uncle Wayne came, they were gone again. I wasted no time taking up a position on the Mummies’ bed for when they arrived home from M Sooz’s blood transfusion. She shouldn’t need another for a while and except for another B12 shot, she’s clear of medical interventions for the next few weeks. I think she’s happy about that. Aunty Wendy was here so she could see the surgeon who will be doing her hip replacement next month. She is counting down the days.
