Jannie is a bit quieter now that Uncle Wayne and Aunty Wendy have vacated the premises and moved into their holiday unit down at the Broadwater. It was fun having them here, even if I did need to move out of our (read: my) bedroom for Uncle Wayne. Just as well he leaves it tidy when he leaves.
Their leaving was actually a bit of a flurry – both days because they left separately. Aunty Wendy went off to the hospital to have her hip replaced on Monday and when she was being let out after two nights, a few days earlier than Uncle Wayne or any of the rest of us expected, it was all hands on deck to pack up everything they needed from here for the relocation. M Kaz picked Aunty Wendy up from the hospital and took her straight down to the unit yesterday. It has a lovely view over the Broadwater and is directly across the road from the Chapel by the Sea where the Mummies were married (that was BN – Before Nigey – so I’ve only heard about it).

The rain seems to have settled in here and it will be interesting to see if Chris the mowing man is able to come to do the lawns in the rain. M Kaz is still happy with the work the plumber did with putting in the pit so they all keep their feet dry stepping off the front porchlet onto the path.
Can you believe that M Kaz has run out of my favourite crunchies – yes, all three lots of them. When I didn’t touch the reserve lot and I kept sitting near my bowls like the starving cat I feel like, she finally gave in and gave me some tinned food. It’s quite strange to have fish for breakfast – but better than going hungry.

I am hopeful I will see some of my Cecil friends in the next day or so. M Kaz was telling the others that there was a report on the local FaceBook page that two different types (they didn’t say how many) had been sighted at the end of the street. I know they can move quite quickly when they want to so I’m hoping they will call in here on their travels. It will be fun if Uncle Wayne is here and see one too because he gets all excited – almost as excited as me – ‘Nake … nake’ He’s very good at seeing them – and will even better now that Steve from next door has trimmed the climbing vines back.

M Kaz must have been really tired last night because she was in bed before the news had finished. That’s quite early for her but not early enough that I wasn’t settled in the middle of her bed when she got there. I wish I had a photo of her perched (clinging) on the side of the bed with her legs around me because she knows better than try to move me.

I haven’t seen Aunty M for a few days. She’s been getting everything organised because her sister and brother-in-law are arriving from Turkiye this evening. There must be something about siblings coming to visit at the moment. It’s good because they’ll be here for Mouse’s 101st birthday celebrations. Sheesh … no wonder Aunty M’s been busy. At least the Mummies have seen her so they can keep me updated.
