Well, Aunty M would be very proud of me. The Mummies and Aunty Wendy and Uncle Wayne had a roast dinner tonight and when a piece of meat fell towards where I was eagerly awaiting something to come my way, I did not touch it. So there are two things here. One is that I was on the floor and not sitting on the table. The other is that I did not do anything but bat and sniff the meat because it was pork. It was beautifully cooked and all but it was still pork. They all seemed to enjoy it but Aunty Wendy seemed a little preoccupied because she finally has her hip replacement operation tomorrow. She is a little concerned about it. I offered to go with her but so far she hasn’t said she wants me to. Mind you I have been checking out how much room there is in her port/suitcase/bag. I think I can squeeze myself in there.

It has been different having M Kaz’s siblings at Jannie. They seem to watch a lot of television and laugh a lot – but that could be because it has been raining almost since they arrived on Thursday. Come to think about it, they weren’t laughing when they watched ‘Ben Hur’ the other day – especially during the chariot race when there were exclamations of disbelief and horror! The same thing happened today when Uncle Wayne and M Kaz were watching ‘Final Destination 5’. I wasn’t there – I was in bed keeping M Sooz company because it is a terribly wet grey day. Mind you, Uncle Wayne and M Kaz still went down to the Broadwater this morning (as they have for the last few days) hoping that there would be a sunrise to see. Nope.

Did I mention that I’ve been banned from sitting on the table while the family’s here? So I’m sitting where I can – outside in my laundry baskets, in the box in the living room, on the dining room chairs – and for good measure I have been trying to get into Uncle Wayne’s jacket pocket – until he said that he didn’t want Nigey fur over everything and took it away – and locked it in his room. I don’t think it’s fair that my favourite Uncle has a cat allergy!
