M Kaz doesn’t whistle me often but when she does I do what I did this morning – ignore her and say “screw you” under my breath. Yes, yes, I know – as M Sooz says it’s hard to believe that such a pretty cat (that’s me… that’s me) can be so rude. Why was M Kaz whistling for me? Well, that’s really a two-part question. Why was she whistling for me like I’m a dog – or someone she’s looking for in a shop? Can you believe people (read: M Kaz) do that? The other part of it – why was she whistling for me to come from where I was resting comfortably in my bed in my room – to be there with those Mummies in their room. Apparently it was so I could be part of the family unit. What on earth has gotten into M Kaz? I know I’m usually in her spot in the bed when she gets back from the water (and her sunrise photographs) with M Sooz’s coffee – but not this morning. It may have had a lot to do with the overhead fan being on in there with them! There’s no way I’m being there for that … and, yes, this means the warmer weather has come to Jannie. I’m thinking the air conditioner is going to be on a lot more now. Thank goodness for fur coats.

Otherwise it’s same old-same old here at Jannie. The days come, the days go. M Kaz spends an inordinate amount of time looking for things she’s put in a “safe place” and she says (again and again) that she’ll have to start decluttering again. See – same old-same old. I keep looking outside for signs of my friends returning for spring but, except for the dinosaur Gecko the other night, no-one’s come. [Sigh.]
