Monday (7 Sep 26)

M Kaz was laughing and laughing while she was watching her device today. She was going through old files – photographs and videos -and lots of them! There were loads of me and loads of M Sooz- but not so many of M Kaz. Hmmm. I wonder why that is. Maybe it’s because if there were photos of her, M Kaz would have a camera in front of her … or at least on her person somewhere. She even found one of me with my head (and part of me) down a toilet, and another where I’m on top of a cake.

M Sooz and M Kaz went out to breakfast this morning and left me at home alone to play with Aunty Anja when she came. Okay, we all know I just stayed on the bed and let her work around me.

M Kaz put a photo on FaceBook of a gecko who was visiting us last night. She was taken with all the tiny, tiny suckers (is that the right word?) on its feet. Did I say there were a lot of them? I didn’t see it at the time, just when she posted but it was here again tonight, which is when I said hello. M Sooz was worried I would want to go out to play with them, but I didn’t – because I know the rules and that there’s no easy way to get out there … with those Mummies watching anyway – because they know I am very much an opportunist.

Now that Aunty Wendy and Uncle Wayne have gone back to Toowoomba and there’s easy access to all my sleeping spaces (and that the air conditioner in the Mummies’ bedroom has been turned off) I slept in with them last night.  Did I mention it has been incredibly warm here at Jannie? The temperature during the day yesterday was around 30° – which meant M Sooz had the overhead fan on – and the air conditioner. She’s always felt the heat but since she’s been having her treatments, it’s like they’ve broken her thermostat.
