Saturday  (20 Jun26)

The Mummies were gone there for a minute but they are back now. I was in good hands while they were off gallivanting though because Aunty W came to stay with me – and with them because she is still here – sharing my bed and making sure I do not escape. (Darn!)

So where did those Mummies go? It seems it is on a need-to-know basis and I don’t really need to know but judging from M Kaz’s social medias there were whales, cup cakes, birds, bees and trees. Just your usual Wednesday and Thursday. They went to Lismore to see Aunty Janet and while they were originally planning to have a couple of nights away while M Sooz was between treatments, they decided just the one night away would be better. Of course, that decision may or may not have been influenced by how many of her delicious cookies Aunty M dropped in to them on Tuesday afternoon to make sure they had sustenance for the trip. No-one was more surprised than M Sooz that some did make it home with them although – not that there are many left now. They have been feasting on them since they arrived home on Thursday – and Aunty W has been enjoying them too. No-one has thought to offer me one though. That’s okay. I’ll keep making do with the second-tier cat food M Kaz is insisting on feeding me at the moment. She knows I prefer Applaws but that isn’t making an appearance in my bowl of late.

It is still cold here and getting colder. Thank goodness for being able to share the beds with the Mummies and Aunty Wendy. Aunty Wendy has a lovely blue puffy vest that she loves me sleeping in and on. I love it too.

It will be interesting to see if M Sooz decides to have her head shaved tomorrow or later in the week. She starts her chemotherapy on Monday and there’s a very good chance that she will lose her hair. Rather than waking up one morning and finding her hair on the pillow (rather than mine), it’s been suggested she have it zhigged off before that happens. She looks good without hair. Not like those cats Aunty M was showing them at breakfast this morning. They were bald too but they don’t wear it as well as M Sooz does.
