I don’t often get the chance to play Spotto except when there’s a yellow can on television – so how lucky was I today to see a yellow car in our driveway? Okay, it was “in uniform” and some people (am I looking at you Aunty M?) would say that under the international Spotto rules, “uniforms” aren’t allowed. I’m not playing by those “rules”.
So why was there a yellow car in our driveway? And good on those people who drove by in the red car and waved and called out “Spotto”. Andy, the RACQ guy, laughed. M Kaz laughed. I laughed.

I was surprised M Kaz didn’t mind that the 12V battery in Ravi had gone completely flat. She found out when she went to go off to do some errands – looking at the specials at Aldi, getting some fresh bread, and getting some heavy-duty painkillers from the pharmacy for M Sooz who is experiencing “bone aches” from the medication she is taking to promote growth of her white blood cells after her chemotherapy. It happens in the bone marrow – hence the “bone ache”. Hopefully it settles down for her. In the meantime, I am being careful to not go near M Sooz’s legs while she’s in bed just in case she wants to move them around.

I do want to sleep with the Mummies though because it is getting quite cool at night – and during the day. We had the coldest morning so far this year the other day.
But back to Ravi. Luckily Andy had a suitable replacement battery on board and he had it swapped out in a few minutes. M Kaz was ecstatic – because it wasn’t the hybrid battery that was kaput – and that the 12V battery had gone kaput in Jannie’s driveway and not in an underground car park or when they were stopped at the Hastings Point lookout on their way to Lismore last week.

M Kaz has been taking lots of photos of me this week – but none of me eating the cookies that Aunty M brought over the other day. I guess it’s okay that M Sooz had the lion’s share of them because she isn’t well.

The sun shines nicely into the Outback but I think the Mummies are going to have to arrange my sleeping places a bit better – my legs were hanging over today. At least I am able to stay upright on my legs – not like M Sooz who had a fall the other night. M Kaz and Aunty Wendy were both here at the time and were able to make sure she wasn’t seriously hurt – no broken or fractured bones – although she was a little dented and bleeding on the face. She’s had some pain since then (she really cannot take a trick at the moment) but the bruises aren’t quite as vivid now. Hopefully I won’t come home with any bruises after M Kaz takes me to the vet tomorrow. Hmmm .. I wonder if she will be able to find me in time for the appointment (bwa ha ha – stay tuned).

Oops, almost forgot. Happy Anniversary to the Mummies!
