Not happy…

That Mother could have picked a better day to take me to the V-E-T. It was raining when she carried me out to Ravi. And not just a gentle calming rain … this was bucketing down. And did she have a cover for the cage? Well avtually she did – but that’s not the point.
The V-E-Ts was filled with short mouth-breathers with no tails and snubbed in noses – and that’s just the humans. No that’s not entirely true but the only one I had any time for was Freddie the Vet I saw. He was lovely, he gave me a hug as I shivered on the cat scale (5.7) and called me a tiger – which means something coming from someone with the surname of Lam – and if it happens before they pin you down to trim your nails. No-one needs to be called a tiger – grrrrr, or a spitfire – while they’re having their nails done. Hmmmm … maybe that’s why M Kaz has someone else do it.

Valentine’s Day

I am really excited because M Kaz is going to take me out for Valentine’s Day. She told me this morning. I would have thought she would want to take M Sooz out but no, it’s me. I wonder where we’re going to go. It’s awfully early for dinner though – I think it’s 4:40 – so I’m not sure what kind of fancy restaurant opens up then or maybe we had to go early because that was the only time we could get a booking. I know it’s fancy because there’s a note on the board saying that I’m getting my nails done today. M Kaz knows I like to look my best. I’m going to be extra nice to her today – and to M Sooz because she’s not coming with us. Yes, yes, I know I’ve already spagged M Kaz this morning but that was an accident. Her leg was where my claw was and because my claws are so long and sharp at the moment … wait… just wait a minute … is that what this is all about … we’re not going out to dinner at all … that Mother is taking me to the V-E-T to have my nails trimmed! Noooooooooooooo!
