Looking for Lennie

Well, except for that storm front that swept through this afternoon, it was quite a good day – except the Mummies didn’t let me help make the bed and they know it’s one of most favourite things to do with them. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t let me help them,  except maybe they were in a hurry to get it done … because it has been a while.  It’s been funny listening to them over the last week.  “We’ll change the bed today.” “We’ll change the bed in the morning.” “We’ll change the bed later this afternoon.” “We’ll change the bed tomorrow.” They’re usually much better than this but I think because M Sooz hasn’t been sleeping well lately, they were being kind to her.
Do you know they didn’t bring me anything back from Yum Cha this afternoon.  Nothing.  Zip.  Nada.  I think they probably enjoyed the food too much to have any leftover for me (and I think Mimi would have missed out too!).

He’s back … he’s back … and we have Aunty M to thank for spotting him out on the wall.  I didn’t see Lennie but M Kaz managed to get a couple of photos of them before Lennie disappeared again.  I hope they didn’t get too wet in the storm this afternoon – and that Lennie wasn’t as scared as I was when the lightning struck just outside – or maybe it wasn’t right outside but it certainly sounded as though it was!  M Kaz made a space under her desk for me, but I decided it was better to be in the bag she’d taken out from under there.

Take me … take me …

And just why is it that I can’t come to breakfast with you?  If Blue and Pip are allowed to go, why can’t I? I’d be good … I would.  But no, they make me stay here, home, all alone … without even a Lennie to keep me company, and Kermie has made himself scarce again as well.  Hmmm … such is the lot of this little Nigey.  (If I pour it on some more do you think the Mummies will take me next time – especially since they went out not once but twice today!)

The yard man still hadn’t been and the yard is starting to look like a jungle.  M Kaz should make another phone call and see what’s going on with Norm because at this rate Scotty is going to get here to do the garden beds before Norm does.  I know it was raining (which was why Norm was delayed – so many other yards to do) but it isn’t now and hasn’t been for a couple of days.

I helped M Kaz with her studies again today. I am so good to her!

Friday

There was a pretty big thunderstorm in the early hours of this morning but it had more or less gone by the time we all got up.  I may have been a little scared by the storm so it was good there was room at M Sooz’s feet for me to snuggle up there.
It’s good there, especially as M Sooz has started turning her electric blanket on again … it’s better than a heat pack for helping ease her back pain.  She has a fair bit of that … poor her.

I haven’t seen Lennie for a while  … and I’m keeping a look-out out of all the windows for them almost every chance I get – I’m trying not to let it cut into my napping time though – or the time I spend writing my blog, or helping M Kaz with her studies.  I think she must have had a breakthrough with those studies today because she’d been in there for nearly three hours working … working … working … when she fist-pumped the air (I think that was what that was) and did a happy dance and there was as little sing-songy thing as well because she had finally managed to get the program she has been working on to do what she wanted it to do.  Yep, she was pretty happy.  I was glad I was able to help her too – I don’t think she would have been able to do it without me keeping her on task because she does have a tendency to get side-tracked and distracted sometimes.

Me helping M Kaz with her studies and
her helping me with my blog.

The person who’s going to do the yard still hasn’t been here – even though it has stopped raining.  This means I still haven’t been able to go outside… and the Mummies know I really want to! I hope M Kaz gives him another call soon to make sure he hasn’t forgotten about us.
