The Mummies must have enjoyed the Black Friday Sales – given they bought a couple of things. One of them was an ice maker, another thing was a blender for crushing ice, and a couple of sets of earbuds. I think they are very happy with their purchases and M Kaz has spent the afternoon playing with the ice blender and setting up her ear buds. She will set up M Sooz’s this evening … and then, if Aunty M needs help, M Kaz will be able to lend a hand in the morning.

While M Kaz was working on setting the things up, I was busy too. M Kaz had moved my cat tree out on to my deck and I was busy trying out all the levels again and watching everything that was happening outside – mainly birds as it turns out. There are lots of them that sit on the fence, or just outside the screen door talking to me and asking me to come out and play with them. M Kaz doesn’t let me though. I think she knows it may not end well … for them!

Well, that’s done now too. M Sooz’s ear buds are set up and M Kaz is looking forward to showing her how to use them. It’s odd, said M Kaz, that the phone app to use with them is different for the iPhone and the Samsung phone. Hmmmm.

I am still loving it out on my deck – and the Mummies know that – especially as I keep asking to go out there. The Gerni Guy (not his real name) is coming tomorrow – I wonder if he will come if it ‘s raining? M Kaz continues to refine her plan for snake-resisting the deck. M Sooz has told her that a snake can get into a space that is a third of its girth so M Kaz has taken that on board. In the back of Ravi she has all the materials she thinks she will need and is planning to do a practice run on one of the panels today. I’ll be there to help her, of course, because I love helping the Mummies whenever I can because they are so good to me. And who doesn’t need a Nigey helping them.

They were out for most of the morning yesterday – they were helping Mouse (Aunty M’s Mummy) celebrate her birthday – can you believe she is 97! They were very lucky that it didn’t rain – much. It did for a little while but not heavily and it gave Nu a chance to show off his umbrella.

Kaz was doing research on angle grinders today. While she was doing her “proof of concept” she tried to cut one of the pipes and it may have been her (lack of) technique but it took her a very long time. So she decided that it would be faster, given the number of cuts she’s going to have to make, to go with an angle grinder – a small one – and definitely not before she’s watched some YouTube videos and looked up ”angle grinder accidents”on Google. There’s still hope though that she can find someone to help her – or make the cuts for her. Fingers crossed! While she still has them!
