Aunty Wendy went home yesterday. She arrived last Friday night and I have to tell you, I love her – in fact, I love her more than I can tell you. It’s not because she was my first mother – well, it’s a little bit of that but mostly it’s because she loves me. She loves me enough to make up our bed specially for me when she leaves, and while she’s here she gives me the option of sleeping in with her or with the Mummies – or somewhere else entirely … even in her handbag. She knows I can’t fit into her handbag but she lets me think I could if I wanted to.

She had some good news while she was down here. She has had a problem with her hip for the last 18 months and now it appears that she will be getting another one sooner rather than later. She was so happy and relieved that she cried when she found out. I wonder if she’ll give me her travel-roller-thingy when she doesn’t need it any more. You would think M Kaz could have taken a photo or two so I could look at it while it’s not here. Hmmmm … maybe she could find me a picture of it on the interweb.

But Aunty Wendy wasn’t the only one who came to visit. Aunty Teagan and the kids also came too – and they had fun playing with some of the other furries the Mummies have around Jannie. Mind you, one of those furries went home with Aunty Wendy. We all thought is was going to be the capybara but it was actually the cow/steer/bovine.

M Sooz is spending a lot of time in bed at the moment – recovering from the last bout of chemotherapy she had – that was last Monday. Hopefully she will start to feel better soon so she can go out to breakfast with M Kaz and Aunty M on Saturday.
M Kaz went to a movie today – it was nearly three hours long and can you believe it did not have one cat in it. No, we’re not counting the leopard or the tiger or the pather or the lion as cats in this particular instance. There were a few dogs though! And pigs. And really big people – there may even have been a Cyclops – the ‘person’ in the cave certainly only had one eye – which … no, I’m not going to repeat what M Kaz told me about it because it was a bit savage. The movie? Chris Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’. Even though M Kaz had only gone as a birthday present to Aunty Roz, she really seemed to enjoy it – except for the brutality and cruelty and the aforementioned savagery. She said there was some nice scenery and sunsets. And some acting. She gave it a 7.5 out of 10. I wonder if I’ll ever get to see it.
