Day 458 and the rain continues. No, that’s not entirely true. It’s only been raining for a couple of days but it seems like much longer. The good news is that the pit/drain that M Kaz had fixed by Jarrod the plumber is working a treat so there is now no swimming pool on the front path. But there were electricians yesterday – not inside my yard but they were just on the other side of the fence working in the switchbox. M Kaz thinks the neighbours are having a house battery installed; she will ask them the next time she sees them. It’s a pity they can’t harness puppy power – I hear Max (aka Gomez) running around and barking sometimes. He seems to be living his best life over there which is great for all of them.
As well as being wet here at Jannie, it is getting colder and as soon as M Kaz goes off to the Broadwater in the morning, I jump straight into her warm spot. Sometimes I get up as soon as she gets back to smell the coffee tray – that’s if she brings two coffees back – one for M Sooz and one for me – actually, that would be a second one for her. It doesn’t happen often though so I make the most of it when I can.
M Kaz has bought me another box! I think she was more interested in the air fryer that came in it – but as long as I scored the box, I’m happy. Why did the Mummies need another air fryer? I think it’s all about the eggs. M Kaz found a recipe for ‘soft boiled eggs in the air fryer’ and she tried it in their Ninja XXL Smart Grill but that wouldn’t do a low enough heat. There may also have been something about the eggs – the new Philips 2000 4.2L has a window in the front – and a light! – so they can watch food as it cooks. I know … I know … some people are happy with watching a television but we know my Mummies are a bit odd sometimes. But it wasn’t just the eggs (again) … this one has 13 presets (and yes, M Kaz did count them all) and is quite light so they can take it on their road trips whyen they start doing them again!
