It’s been a good week – and not just because I’ve been able to start biting and clawing Kaz again. Not all the time of course, that would be wrong. But a cat’s got to do what a cat’s got to do!

Luckily they haven’t put the ironing board away yet because it’s my new favourite place – if you don’t count my spot near the toaster – or the kettle that is. They still haven’t worked out what I’m watching over there … and I’m not going to tell them … yet.

Kaz is still liking her new battery-operated mower and lawn trimmer and she was out there again on Monday afternoon. I supervised from the bedroom window while she was doing the backyard – which she now calls Area C. I tried to watch while she tended to Area B and that was possible out of the cat tower window – but it was impossible to watch her in Area A which is out the front – near the road – and we all know I’m not allowed out there – except when they’ve got me locked in that red and wire cage thingey and are taking me somewhere … oh wait, I don’t even get to see it then because Kaz always has a cover over the cage thingey – like the hood they put on you in the movies… that rarely ever ends well!

Aunty M finally came to see me yesterday… and had a little play with me and Red (one of my dinosaurs) who she sat looking out the window (so he could watch the mowing too? I’ll have to let Red know it’s not that interesting). But it was good to see Aunty M and hear about my ArchNemesis and what she’s been up to. Lizards and cockroaches were mentioned but it doesn’t sound like Mimi’s pulled her escaping over to the neighbour’s yard again – which probably has a lot to do with her having lost her “free roam” privileges. The way I hear it, Mimi has to have a lead on ALL THE TIME while she’s outside now. Even I don’t have to do that … or I didn’t today while I zoomed outside while Kaz was wrestling with the screen door and some loose (as in out of the bag) groceries. I slipped past her so quickly she had no chance to do that little “keep Nigery inside” dance. So I rolled around on the nicely-warmed concrete – very toasty – and tried not to remember I was on the path, on my back, where Kaz and Sooz are still finding bits of (safety?) glass after the electrician dropped the old oven on the way out – weeks ago now. Definitely the gift that keeps on giving!

What a cutie! Thank you for this lovely post x
