Vroom … vroom

Me .. asleep at the wheel.

Me … a rev head? well, yes, it seems so. Sooz bought me a red convertible and 1 loved it as soon as I saw it! It’s fast – and comfortable – and it must have cruise control because it didn’t crash when I fell asleep in it – I told you it was comfortable!  So it now has pride of place in my play area. I’m not sure how I’m going to explain it to my paper bag.

Aunty M came over this afternoon to give me a proper ride in the convertible. It’s a convertible for goodness sake Mummies – it has to move … and I can’t be the one pushing it because I have to be in it to steer. Aunty M understands that. And she didn’t mind giving me a push because she already does it with my friend Mimi.

What was Aunty M doing around here? Bringing the Mummies afternoon tea, delivering some gift cards someone had sent for us, having a splendid cup of tea, and playing with me of course.  Everyone needs a break from their errands from time to time and I’m just glad she chose to come here so she could push me in the car because we know neither of the Mummies offered!

Hmmm … not me!

But how did they know it was me in the Zen Garden?  It could have been anyone.  What’s that… Footprints?  Nah, they could belong to anyone! Didn’t I see another cat in here the other day?  Didn’t it go in to Kaz’s office and play behind the door – you know, where the Zen Garden is?

See … not my footprints.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.  It’s not that I do anything else that would upset them … if I did they wouldn’t have brought me my own Christmas Tree.  Yes, you read that correctly. Sooz and Kaz must have felt bad after my last post because they have now bought me my own felt tree to play with … and they’re left it where I can reach some of the hanging doovers … so points to them!

Did someone say Christmas lights?

They came back all happy last night – they’d been out on a boat – cruising up and down canals in the area looking at Christmas lights.  Me?  They left me here alone again … to make my own fun – which had nothing to do with the Zen Garden or any other mischief they think I might have been into.

Michael and his sticky thing.

It was a busy day here yesterday – even before that.  Sooz went out with P for a while;  Kaz and I stopped here and made sure Michael did a good job – he was here to do the yearly pest control visit and to check for termintes (he didn’t find any – phew).  He was pretty nice actually and had a knocking stick (he hit it against the walls checking for those pesky termites) that he let me play with.  He was very chatty too … he’s been to Africa on Safari and they’re just waiting for the borders to open up again so they can go travelling again.

Then, after he’d gone, Sooz and P came back and they had a “meeting” – something to do with Kaz’s TAFE course.  It went on for ever … I’m glad I don’t have to go to meetings.  I think they’re fairly boring, and, if the Mummies don’t mind me saying, a huge waste of time.

Meetings … very big yawny things!
How many Christmas trees do the Mummies have? Here’s another one they’ve dragged out! I love it.

I don’t like you very much …

It’s not fair. They bought that new Christmas Tree and then they put it so I can’t reach it. What on Earth are they playing at? But they underestimate me – and they should know better than that! I managed to rescue Santa and a reindeer from where they were stuck to the wall (on the tree) – and the Merry Christmas sign. I’ve put Santa somewhere safe for the minute to rest, because he’s got a big job coming up in a bit. Hmmm … maybe they’re not as not on to me as I thought.

They had an advent calendar here overnight that they’d borrowed from their mate P. It was very intricate, wooden and looked quite special – and that’s before you consider the bag it came in … and the special packing it was wrapped in  … and OMGoodness, the whole thing smelled like … other cats.  Their scent has been here before … on Uncle Wayne when  he went off to do those jobs for P a while back and he came back in the throes of terrible allergies.  Poor Uncle Wayne.  I wonder if he’s going to be coming back this way soon.  Hmmmm.
