Ken Lee…

It is so hard to find good help these days.  That last post I just did should have been after the others I have been wanting to put up on the blog, but given M Kaz has been so busy lately, I grabbed her while I could, and thought, okay, just get that one up.  But here she is with some more time she’s prepared to give me so I’ll take the opportunity to make a note about Ken Lee.
Ken Lee? The Mothers have been like idiots the last couple of days … one of them says “Ken Lee” and they both burst out laughing.  It’s like a secret joke between them that they’re not letting me in on.  So frustrating!  I know that if I could just get unrestricted access to one of their devices, I could find out about it.

Out … and “Happy Anniversary”

Yum … grass! And yes, we all know the rule … if you’re going to throw up, do it outside!

Yippee!  The stars have aligned and I was able to go outside again yesterday – to eat grass (✔️) and look for Lennie (X).  I don’t know where Lennie could have disappeared to … I haven’t seen them for a couple of days now and I am starting to get worried. Anything could have happened to them because Lennie is only a little lizard … I know they look huge with that very long tail, but Lennie is only little – and he would look very tasty to something that was hungry.

They loved me even then!

Can you believe I have known those Mothers for three years now.  Today – 3 years ago – I arrived at M Kaz’s sister’s place with my sister – and batted my big green eyes at the Mummies, but they didn’t take me home yet.  That wouldn’t happen for another couple of months – when I’d made M Kaz’s sister know that I preferred shoes to just about anything else – and when I paid attention to the Mummies, she thought it would be a good fit – since it had been so long since they’d had a Nigey or any other type of cat – and she sent me home with them – in a laundry basket. I travel in style now though, in a proper cat cage – and yes, it’s a hand-me-down but it’s comfy and I know they love me because they let me use Emma’s old cage – yes, that’s the same Emma who I’ve pushed off the sideboard in her little box – might be a couple of times now I think about it. It’s lovely that when their cats go over that rainbow bridge, they still manage to have them end up in a box!  I still have a few lives to go before I’m anywhere near one of those little boxes – thank goodness!

Sunday

Looking for Lennie

Well, except for that storm front that swept through this afternoon, it was quite a good day – except the Mummies didn’t let me help make the bed and they know it’s one of most favourite things to do with them. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t let me help them,  except maybe they were in a hurry to get it done … because it has been a while.  It’s been funny listening to them over the last week.  “We’ll change the bed today.” “We’ll change the bed in the morning.” “We’ll change the bed later this afternoon.” “We’ll change the bed tomorrow.” They’re usually much better than this but I think because M Sooz hasn’t been sleeping well lately, they were being kind to her.
Do you know they didn’t bring me anything back from Yum Cha this afternoon.  Nothing.  Zip.  Nada.  I think they probably enjoyed the food too much to have any leftover for me (and I think Mimi would have missed out too!).

He’s back … he’s back … and we have Aunty M to thank for spotting him out on the wall.  I didn’t see Lennie but M Kaz managed to get a couple of photos of them before Lennie disappeared again.  I hope they didn’t get too wet in the storm this afternoon – and that Lennie wasn’t as scared as I was when the lightning struck just outside – or maybe it wasn’t right outside but it certainly sounded as though it was!  M Kaz made a space under her desk for me, but I decided it was better to be in the bag she’d taken out from under there.
