Who’s a bed hog?

Well I’m not sure if I’m really comfy sleeping on your legs M Kaz but it was good to try it out last night. M Sooz seemed to get a laugh out of it and I’m just sorry we didn’t get her to take a photo of it because it would have been fun to share and look back on.
I am claiming the “Champion of Stealth” title by the way. You should have seen the look on M Kaz’s face when she turned around after just a second and I was already taking up the bottom part of her side of the bed, stretched out and on my way to dreamland. They have realised that I am sticking to them like glue, doing what I can to make the Mummies feel better because even though M Kaz is the sickie, M Sooz misses playing with her and keeps saying things like “I want my girl back”. We all do!
You would think it’s easy sleeping down the bottom of the bed (I prefer on M Kaz’s side because she doesn’t move me out of the way as much) and it mostly is but sometimes I need to remind M Kaz I’m there and it is incredible how responsive she is when I rest my teeth on her calf. She soon gets the idea and scooches over a bit or hangs her legs out the side of the bed or gets up for a bit. And when she gets up I follow her out to the kitchen and she rattles my cookies bowl and I have some while she hurries back up the hallway to bed and gets herself positioned before I race back in. It’s important to remember to play games and have fun even if someone doesn’t necessarily feel like it. (That’s you M Kaz!)

Enough already …

C’mon M Kaz … get up and play with me already. You’ve been in bed long enough and M Sooz and I are ready for you to be up and about again! Damn that bug you have … I have been counting the days since you and M Sooz arrived back and it’s one, two, three, four, five, six days and you’ve been in bed each and every one of them. Never did I think you would be able to sleep as long as me during the day and night! But that’s what you’ve been doing and I have been trying to keep myself entertained and not pestering you but it’s getting awfully hard! At least Aunty M came around this afternoon to spend some time with me (and you two but primarily me).

We’re home …

We’re home … we’re home! It seems like the Mummies we’re away forever but they are home now and they picked me up from Aunty Rosemary’s this morning. I was so excited when M Kaz came in to CageLand to get me … I thought it was her voice I heard … and it was! And M Sooz was waiting in the car for us! I am so happy!

The only bit of a downer is that M Kaz is a bit sick and she did a test to see how sick she is and she tested positive so she can’t go anywhere or do anything for a little while. She’s just hoping she’s all better for when her brother, his 79er and caravan come up this way on the weekend. He wasn’t planning to come here but he will be in Toowoomba but probably not for very long. It is a good incentive for her to stay in bed and for M Sooz (who tested negative!) and me to tend to her. We’re good like that.

The only thing that will make the day better is to see Aunty M!

Banished …

This will be my last post for a while… I was right… those Mothers are despatching me to Aunty Rosemary’s!

19 April 2022
Those Mothers are definitely getting ready to go.  M Kaz has been busy doing washing and M Sooz has been busy folding the washing.  Me? I just sit on it while I can – especially when it’s still warm from the dryer.  Mmmmm… toasty!

The other way I know is that M Kaz keeps making me play stringey thing with her … which is even better because she has finally found the lost one – stuffed down the back of the couch.  I don’t know how these things get there!  But I’m glad the Mummies kept looking for it.

Because it has been Easter we have been getting to play a new game – Chicken Egg and Rabbit … or is it Egg Chicken Rabbit… I never can tell which comes first.  It’s fun though … M Kaz throws Easter Eggs on the ground – I like the blue ones best – and then I chase them and hit them – and they’re ever better than the balls because they come back (a bit) when I hit them.

Did I mention that I saw Lennie the other day … even carried him out of the garden and onto the lawn in my mouth.  I do not know what M Kaz was having conniption fits about … it wasn’t as though I was ever going to eat Lennie … we were just playing.  That Mother was naughty – she scared Lennie because when she roused on me (telling me to leave him alone) , they were startled by the loud whiney voice (yes, you read that right M Kaz, you do have a whiney voice!) and ran off.  I didn’t see them again until the next day when they went back to exactly where we had been, at exactly the same time, and Lennie was obviously looking for me.  M Kaz did not let me go out to be with them.

And because I’m going to be in communicado (read: pet prison) for the next while, here are some pictures to remind you of me.
