Wednesday

It’s called “choice” Mummies and that can happen at any time of the day – yes, even before the sun is up, even before you were planning to get up, yes even at 5:15 am. And that’s why I’m so disappointed that you would think that “choice” was actually spelled “eviction”. For me it was all about what type of cookies I was going to have for breakfast – and if M Kaz would put down two types of crunchies for me – the other day she put down THREE types! Oh wait, that was when they were away overnight – I think they just wanted to make sure I had enough to eat while they were gone – they left out two types of wet food as well. I don’t get that type of service every day around here. I wonder if Mimi does. I bet she does. And I bet she doesn’t get evicted during the night for just saying hello! I do … all the time!

Nothing to see here!

Sunday

M Kaz was up early this morning – not as early as the mornings when she leaves while it’s still dark outside but pretty early for a Sunday. I’m not sure if it was me or M Kaz who was more surprised when M Sooz said “let’s go out for a German Sausage”. They arranged to meet Aunty M and Mouse there (at the HOTA Markets) – not realising they weren’t planning on going – but they did anyway. That was good because it meant I could have the house to myself until they arrived home. And I call you I was really surprised when M Kaz didn’t come home with M Sooz. I was sure they travelled in pairs – but not today. M Kaz had gone off to see the Bricktionary exhibition while she was at HOTA and M Sooz hitched a ride home with Mouse and Aunty M, but not before they’d gone shopping for strawberry jam, burek (spelling?) and premium pineapple juice. Yummm.

When M Kaz did arrive home she didn’t do as she had promised and take me outside into the yard. Hopefully she will remember her cat mother duties and do it tomorrow because I am a bit sick of being trapped inside for days at a time. It’s like being in prison – well, like I imagine it would be because I haven’t ever been incarcerated – not yet anyway … do they incarcerate cats? And why would they do that? What type of “crime” would you have to be guilty of to even go there? Hmm. It bears some thought Mummies!

Lucky me …

The Mummies aren’t going off to see Aunty M in the Hospital in the afternoons now because she is back home with Mouse and Mimi. They miss going to see her but they are glad she’s back home again.

I have a new toy! Can you hear the excitement in my voice? It’s a wondrous and wonderful thing – like my rubber bands only bigger! In that it is a massive ginormous green rubber band. I love it! Almost as much as I love Stringey Thing. And almost as much a I love those buttery biscuits M Kaz brought home from Aldi today: Palmiers.

Is there nothing those Mummies won’t do to keep me happy? As well as putting a bed for me on their bed (and letting me help them make their bed), they have also put another comfy set-up in the second bedroom for me and I love that too. Just a pity there are not more hours to sleep during the day. Mind you, I do my best to stay active at night if I’ve had a good sleep during the day – making as much noise as I can, otherwise how would the Mummies know where I was.

Home …

She’s home … she’s home – the Mummies picked Aunty M up from Hospital this morning and gave her a lift home. I bet Mimi was excited to see her Mummy home after almost a week – and it wasn’t even as if Aunty M had been able to say goodbye to her – the goodbye you get when a Mummy is going off for a day (or overnight) just isn’t the same as when they know they’re going to be gone for longer. Yes, Mimi would have known something was up when Mouse took Aunty M’s pyjamas and sequined bedroom slippers out with her that day – but not enough that Mimi didn’t keep searching the house for Aunty M – but not outside because Mimi isn’t allowed out alone either!
