“Maggie would have eaten that!” It was a bit of a surprise when M Kaz said that this evening – as I sniffed a pea that had escaped M Sooz’s roast chicken dinner and settled in the middle of the floor in the lounge room. Who was this Maggie and why did she like vegetables – or was it just small round green food? As it turned out, it was anything green – and Maggie used to live with Aunty M some time ago. She may have stepped over that Rainbow bridge (I think that’s how the Mummies talk about it when we cats use up our 9 lives … I wonder which one I’m on) but Maggie is not forgotten – but none of the pets ever are.

Have I mentioned the Mummies keep my immediate predecessors (Homer & Emma- they must have been related – they had the same last name) in a couple of boxes on the top of M Kaz’s desk?

M Kaz must have been feeling mooshie tonight. She put our mustard puffer jacket next to her on the couch and I was pulled to it like the giant magnet it is and before long M Kaz was patting me and encouraging me to settle into the “coat nest”. Happy to oblige.
