Well, that definitely wasn’t a gentle start to the day. I watched M Kaz get up, have a shower (that was strange, she doesn’t usually do it until she gets home) and then go out. I was asleep when she came back – except for when she woke me while giving M Sooz her morning coffee and then going through her photographs as she sat on the side of the bed.

Then the next thing I knew M Kaz was scooping me up (I did put up a fight) and put me in my travel cage, into the car and then told the car ‘Vetcall Ashmore’ and we were on the way. Luckily she took my mind off it by calling Uncle Wayne as we drove.

So … we were off to the VET. No wonder the Mummies had been spelling words around me – they have obviously been planning this for a couple of days. It was a new vet – Dr Donna – and I was okay with that once I’d settled in to the new environment. Kendall made it easier for me by spraying a cover and then popping it over the top of my cage. I thought it was santiser but apparently it’s a ‘happy smell’ – she used the term ‘pheromone’ which M Kaz seemed to understand.

So, what do we know? I’m pretty (Dr Donna told me so), I am 5.5 kg (or thereabouts), my nails have been done, I still have my heart murmur, I don’t need my teeth done although there is some calculi which we are trying to move with my new almost-not- ⁸⅞ç1 bite-sized teeth crunchies. I had some of them this morning and they are tasty but I’m not sure I’m not going to dislocate my jaw trying to eat them. I have to go back to see Dr Donna at the end of August to have my vaccinations, and we’ll check to see how my teeth are going with the new food then.

And all of that before breakfast so I was very happy to get home to get into my morning routine – including using my litter tray – what was M Kaz thinking not giving me time to do my thing before we went!

Otherwise, all is much of a muchness here at Jannie although M Kaz was telling me this morning that we have a tradie coming today to look at the roof. Heh heh – little does Jacob know that he has to pass the Nigey test before the Mummies will even look at using his company for the work.
