Happy Easter – although why it’s ” Happy” given what Easter is all about is beyond me. shouldn’t the “Happy” bit just relate to when JC comes back? Just as well theological questions aren’t something 1 debate with those Mummies – or anyone else really. As long as there’s chocolate -and there is … lots of it because M Kaz won the 2nd prize at the Pelicano’s Easter Raffle – on a redraw because the “real” winner couldn’t be contacted. How lucky for us that Jeff pulled M Kaz’s name out of the box. It is an awesome prize and will keep the Mummies and their family and friends and neighbours full of chocolate for a little while.
The Mummies have finally started watching a new television series about birds. It’s called ” Black Doves”. Funny that they haven’t seen any birds yet and they’ve finished the first three episodes already. Wait, I tell a lie, a flock of black birds did fly over at one point but they didn’t seem crucial or even critical to the story line at all. The Mummies did seem to enjoy it even though there is a bit of violence: three people were dead before the opening credits in the first episode. They were crucial to the story line.
We have been having glorious weather. Usually it rains over Easter but the only thing it’s raining is the yellow blossoms from the Golden Penda trees. It’s funny that neither Mummy can remember them from previous years – maybe because they don’t flower every year. Or maybe they didn’t flower as much the last couple of years. I can’t believe they wouldn’t remember the yellow “snow” from year to year.
