The Olympics are on again at Jannie and the Mummies are watching the Sport Climbing – with the Boulders, the Lead wall  and the Speed Climbing.  M Kaz loves the Speed Climbing best, watching two climbers scrambling up a rock wall in seconds, like spiders. And they wonder why I chase things on the television screen. And speaking of that, the current score of M Kaz versus Nigey (retraining me not to scratch the television screen) is unchanged.  I am definitely winning and unless M Kaz comes up with a new strategy,  it’s going to stay that way.  It’s nice that she dreams though.

There have been some changes around here though.  When M Kaz was coming back from her time down at the Broadwater this morning, an email came through asking her to rate the service she received from the people who provided the Flexi Skip that’s been out the front of Jannie the last couple of weeks.  She said she felt it was a bit cheeky of them since she’d only booked a pick-up yesterday and it hadn’t been yet, or it hadn’t been when she left home just before 6 am.  But they must have come when she was out because when she arrived back at Jannie at 7.30 am, the skip was gone – and all the rubbish that had been gathering around Jannie the last little while with it.  M Kaz wouldn’t let me help her load anything in to the skip.  Mind you, she could have used some help getting that desk in to the skip, and definitely the office chairs.  She still hasn’t managed to get her ring (you know, the one that was squashed between the two office chairs as she was trying to person-handle them into the skip) back to its original shape, but she can live with that, especially when she thinks about what had happened if she hadn’t had the ring on to absorb the squish injury.

Those Mummies were both a bit wet around the eyes when they were watching BarnabyLand aka Midsomer Murders this evening.  They weren’t sure how it happened so quickly, but tonight was the episode where Tom Barnaby, Joyce and Cully bid farewell to Midsomer.

It was also the night where M Kaz was stunned that I was able to leave one of my rubber bands on its side after I’d finished playing with it.
