What’s the easiest way to freak a Mummy out? Wait until it’s time for them to go to bed and go and sit by the glass door and peer out intently – and keep peering out as though you’re watching something – or someone. I know it works because I did it to M Kaz last night. She walked around the house, checking the doors were locked and that the outside sensor lights hadn’t been triggered. They hadn’t. Not long after she came back to bed (I didn’t go on the house-check with her) and we settled in for the night – although I swear M Kaz didn’t go straight to sleep. I wonder if she was trying to remember if she had the neighbours’ numbers handy in case she ever needed to phone them (like if the sensor lights had been on).

They were both out of the house early this morning – another health appointment for M Sooz. No surprises that they went out to breakfast after down at the Broadwater. Then they came home – and let me Outback so I could bask in the sunshine out there. I do love a good bask.
M Kaz went to the movies this afternoon and then came back and locked herself in the office doing paperwork or some such silliness. I fooled her though because now she’s almost finished decluttering the office, I can get through the other door to her. She was surprised when I jumped up on the desk beside her. I knew she’d thought she’d seen me go past on the floor – out of the corner of her eye – a bit before but she’d obviously decided it was just a glitch in the matrix. She was wrong.
