Yes, M Kaz, you do have to watch me eat. That’s what good Mummies do, It’s no fun eating alone and you know I like having company in the kitchen. And, yes, it would be good if you could open the door so I can go Outback as soon as I’ve had my brekkie. And it would be nice if you could get around to emptying my old litter tray too. Chop chop … let’s get too it. And yes, M Kaz, you are my servant! I thought you knew that already but obviously you’ve forgetten it this morning. I bet Mimi doesn’t have to keep reminding Aunty M to do things for her!

It is still cold at Jannie. I know this because M Kaz was wearing a puffer jacket last night while they were watching Inspector Barnaby – and M Sooz even had a flannie shirt on. I cannot believe they are still watching Midsomer Murders – but M Kaz says it’s because they are still doing research for when they go to Barnabyland. I wonder if they worry that they will end up like the over 500 people who have been killed on that if they visit Midsomer, but M Kaz says they are perfectly safe because in Midsomer you only get “done in” by people you know – quite frequently the last thing a person who is about to be murdered says is: what are you doing here? – and it’s obviously someone they know. M Kaz says they won’t know anybody in Midsomer-land, M Kaz so they will be perfectly safe. I hope she’s right.

As well as being cool, it’s also been grey and overcast and there hasn’t been that much sun so I have been staying mostly inside and curled up on a bed whenever I can. And yes, the battle of wills over whether I will sit at the television and be friends with it continues. I’m still winning (I think).
