Cold? Cold? Yes, it is cold. It’s so cold that I am a little bit miffed that those Mothers haven’t gotten me a warm puffer jacket like they have. They’re always saying how warm and toasty they are – and they certainly look as though they are – and whenever they;re off them long enough for me to be in one of them, it feels nice and warm – and puffy. I don’t know why I can’t have one. Yes, yes, I know I can go Outback and warm up out there but there have been days when it’s just been overcast and there hasn’t been any sun to speak of. Ask M Kaz, she’ll confirm that. She’s been feeling the cold too – which is why she’s been wearing a hoodie in the house in the evenings.

Aunty M was over the other evening and they were watching ‘Derry Girls’ and laughing and laughing. When she was leaving, she said she saw a huge toad out in the front yard. M Kaz wouldn’t let me go out and look at it – just in case I wanted to bring it in. M Kaz wouldn’t let me play with the spider she found in the house the other day either. She didn’t play with it either – she just let it run under my patio, and watched it, and hoped I wouldn’t find it. That just made me want to look harder. But I never did find it.

I’m looking forward to sleeping in M Kaz’s bed tonight. She has finally put her new flannelette sheets on her bed so I’m hoping they will be warm and toasty! Failing that – I think I’m going to have to work out how to turn on the reverse cycle air conditioner. I know I’ve always wanted to be a cool cat =- but I’m sick of being a cold cat!
