Spring is here

I love the first day of the month because that means M Kaz turns to the next photo of me on the calendar she got in the family’s Secret Santa. There was the calendar and a mug – also with a photograph of yours truly on it. Well, now I mention it, there is a photo of M Kaz on there as well, but she’s just a supporting character. I’m the one taking up the most real estate on there. So this calendar page turn brings us to Spring where a young Nigey’s thoughts to running free in the grass outside but since I can’t go out in the yard, I’m content to go for a chew on the cat grass (yes, it is still alive -and thriving) and a tear around Outback and in the house.  How lucky am I?  What’s that – not lucky enough for those Mothers to be thinking about leaving me at home while they’re away on their next road trip.  What am I going to do about sitting in the sun at Aunty Rosemary’s?  Where will I get my daily dose of Vitamin D there?  Hmmmm.

Washing is good!
M Kaz puts the washing back in sometimes – and folds the washing so I’m still on the bits with my fur on them.
Did someone say dryer?

I’m currently getting it Outback – where the lovely Mummies (not ‘those Mothers’) have left the washing out there in a tub or on the table, so I can just snuggle in there and have my naps in the sun.  It’s actually very comfortable – and the dryer is even better.  Yes, M Kaz is always very careful to check I’m not in there before she throws the washing (or is that drying?) in.  I have it on good authority that she also checks the dishwasher before she runs that, too, just to make sure I’m not checking that out from the inside.  The washing and drying (and not going outside) and my excellent grooming habits explain why I am so white in my white bits!

Aunty M came over this afternoon to watch another episode of Blue Murder with those Mummies.  She almost brought Pip (from up the road) in with her – he obviously remembers where I live.  He’s not the only dog those Mummies know – they met two more yesterday when they were down in New South Wales to have brekkie with a friend.  These two are Mila and Lucy and except for that they’re dogs, reports are that they were fairly cute – but thankfully not cute enough to bring home.

Mila – looking cute – but not cute enough!
Hmm – on my way to Meowtown in the bus – but I still haven’t made brown snow in there. I wonder where they put my real bus!
