I knew they were up to something … absolutely totally they are planning to go away and leave me with Auntie Rosemary. I am not happy that they haven’t told me straight out, and that I’ve had to use all my powers of deduction to work it out. Still, I don’t know where; I don’t know when. I will have to keep an eye on them because they will need to pack bags, and electronics, and camera gear and snacks, and I think they are planning to take the coffee machine as well. They’ve stocked up on capsules for it – including some with hot chocolate in them. And did I see Chai there as well?

Aunty M came over yesterday and she brought a new box for me. I feel as though I must be getting smaller because this box is way littler than the one she brought for me last time. There’s a problem though because try as I might, I can hardly fit into this one. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice and cosy and I love it but my bottom does hang over the edge just a little – and my front does too, and my sides – just by a teeny little smidgen of course, but hanging over nonetheless.

I helped M Kaz the other day with reorganizing her wardrobe. It took her a fair while too and she ended up putting lots of her clothes in the little storage boxes she bought from Aldi last month. I knew they would come in handy. I like to think I was a huge help … and I’ve told M Sooz that I’m here for her if she needs me to help her with any projects if M Kaz can release me from her duties.

M Kaz did take me out into the yard yesterday and even though I couldn’t find Lennie, M Kaz did and as I played around in the dirt where the garden used to be, she was taking photographs of Lennie who was sitting on top of the wall watching me. I know that they usually hang out on top of the wall – and I had wanted to vault on to it as soon as M Kaz took me out – but she pulled me back before I could even start the jump. When did that Mother learn to read minds?
