M Kaz seems to be feeling a bit better today (Friday – sorry too busy to post this blog when I started writing it) because she was a bit crook on Thursday morning and spent most of the day in bed. It was good to have both Mummies home for the day although it would have been more fun if both of them had been awake, rather than snoring like bears in a forest. They didn’t go out to Trivia last night – that’s how I knew M Kaz was not feeling well at all. I also suspected M Kaz was not well because she coughed and spat – to use one of our RATs. The test came back negative and she seemed very happy about that because she was not keen to share CoVid with Aunty M’s cousin – who was very happy to have been told that she has CoVid. I will never understand some humans.

Sunday now. They did go out to breakfast yesterday morning where they caught up with Blue – who likes watching television as much as I do … they think he thinks he spent too much time with his cat-sister Tilly in his formative months and thinks he’s part cat-part couch potato-and a little bit dog.
The Mummies are not keen on the news at the moment. M Kaz refuses to watch it on television and just now she left the room while M Sooz was waiting for it to come on the radio. M Kaz didn’t want to hear about what’s going on the Ukraine where somebody without a shirt is insisting on sending soldiers into other people’s homes – in another country – and not being nice at all. Heaps of people are trying to escape the violence but since shirtless man’s country is almost surrounding them, they are having a hard time of it. And the ones who can’t get away are doing their best to keep themselves and their families and friends safe by hiding in the train stations while shirtless man sends rain made of bombs and troops to find them. I will never understand some humans.

It continues to rain ordinary rain here. I’m not sure where Kermie and Lennie are but I hope they’re okay. I want to bring them inside but I don’t think the Mummies are going to let them come in. I don’t know why. I would share my stuff with them. What do Lennies and Kermies eat? Do they use a litter tray? Can Lennie climb the walls like the next-door’s Lennie? Can he go on the ceiling? Would he enjoy dropping off the ceiling onto the Mummies’ shoulders as they walked under him?

And why is it taking M Kaz so long to do her assignments. She was in her office for a good while yesterday afternoon and while I’m not an expert on these things, it did look like she wasn’t actually studying for lots of that time. There was an awful lot of looking at photos on the computer and moving them onto her new “hard drive” – it’s orange so I can understand why she would want to. I think Aunty Sy gave her the idea at breakfast when she was talking about scanning all her photos – and that she’s going to put them onto a blog so everyone can see them. Hmmmm … I’m sure I’ve heard some people complain about being made to look at photos – of course, they’re always happy to see pictures of me!

I did try to help M Kaz study as much as I could – and when we had done some, I entertained her with a science experiment – but I wouldn’t let her close the lid of the box … I keep telling her that Schrodinger’s experiment with the cat was not a real one – it was a pretend box and it was a pretend cat! Of course, she then had to show off by telling me that Schrodinger did have a cat and the cat’s name was Milton … so we all know where the idea for that experiment came from!
M Sooz is using the rainy weather as an excuse to read books. She finished the one about Helen and her diaries, and the one about the swimming pool, and now she’s reading one about philosophy and love and I’m sure she has other ones that she’s keen to borrow from the library or to have M Kaz buy for her.

I’m using the rainy weather to make myself comfortable on their bed and catch up on some sleep … studying, especially where science is involved, is very tiring … but it’s definitely worth it because I recently heard that it makes you more intelligent!
