Monday

I can’t believe they left me at home alone overnight and they didn’t get Aunty M to pop in and see what mischief I was getting into – and we all know how I love getting into mischief. It does make me wonder though- how long do the Mummies think I can be left alone for, all by myself? M Kaz came home in the afternoon to refill my food and water bowls and spend time going around the house collecting rubbish, cleaning out the fridge, doing my litter tray and … thank goodness … opening the kitchen window so there’s some crossbreeze and air in the house. To be fair, I’m not usually here alone so Kaz probably didn’t realise that it can get to be like an oven in the house on hot days – of course, that’s only when M Sooz isn’t here with the Vornado – or the air conditioner – on. M Sooz feels the heat too. M Kaz gave me specific instructions when she opened the kitchen window.

As she stuffed steel worms into the window track she implored and begged me not to take them out because they were the only things that would keep the biteys and crawlies out. Hmmm. Now that they’re home and can play with anyone who does come in, I’ll hide the worms and see how long before we have company. I’ll let Lennie know!

Aunty M didn’t come last night but Aunty A was here today and I gave her a big hello – hoping I’d distract her from chasing after me with her vacuum cleaner – but that didn’t work … it never does. To be fair, she never does actually chase me with it – she just insists on having it in the house while I’m here.
