Friday …

Staring … staring … staring. I’m here M Sooz, you don’t have to keep looking for me.  I’m here in plain sight!  I know I’m usually hiding or not immediately obviously evident but not this morning.  I was sitting, lounging actually, on the cat tower, waiting for something interesting to happen.  It didn’t – which is a shame … because it did happen out the front when the Mummies were setting off to see their mate Jason with the Blue Koala.  While M Kaz was speaking with the next-doors (yes, the ones who had the snake in their loungeroom the other night), M Sooz spotted what they now think was Lennie, the next-door’s lizard, clinging to the wall above their heads.  Lennie is ginormous – almost as big as one of those huge crocodiles in the Northern Territory … and M Kaz took a photograph to show me … so if I see Lennie outside (we are not sure if Lennie is a girl or a boy), I can shout out “hello” so Lennie doesn’t feel too lonely – and knows that I’m not dinner.  I’m going to ask her to print the photo out for me so I can keep it by my window and keep a watch-out.  It would be nice to have another friend … because you know I haven’t heard from Mimi for a while. She’s been off on her own adventures … to some place called ChristineLand. (She could have asked me!)

Lennie – the Lizard

There was a mighty storm this afternoon – with huge drops of rain and lot of thunder.  I didn’t see any lightning though, so I felt quite safe looking out the window.  And yes, I may have cuddled up with the dinosaur for a bit to keep him company because you know he’s not quite as brave as I am.   He could do with another friend as well – so I’ll ask him to keep an eye out (he has really big eyes, all the better for seeing) for Lennie too. They might even be related.

Keeping watch while the Dino sleeps.

It’s a pity the sloths in my day room aren’t a little more active because they could come out and be with Dino and Roger and me … but they’re really only good for napping with.  Did you know that sloths usually live in trees – but we don’t have any of those in the house – and that the only time they come out of the tree is once a week when they use their litter tray.  I suspect they have been using mine but I have no proof … yet!  M Kaz has enough to do cleaning up after me … but I know she loves it. I’ve heard her say it’s like a treasure hunt!  And can you believe she actually counts what she finds!  And if she thinks I haven’t been “productive” enough, she’s always checking to see if I’m doing my fair share of eating and drinking so there will be proper “throughput”.  Get a grip M Kaz … and call it like it is … it’s Pooh (no, not Tigger’s friend) … and Wee (even though they’re not!).

Helping M Kaz work … because someone has to!
