I don’t think so …

How bad could a treat be?

Oh my goodness … what on earth is this? Are they intent on trying to kill me? I knew it was trouble as soon as Kaz opened the packet … of Hoki Fish Cubes. They are supposed to be a treat but let me assure you they are more like torture.  When Kaz gave me the first one to try … I tried to try it but the cubes are so big I couldn’t get my mouth around one to have a go. I licked it but I didn’t much like it.  Kaz should have gotten the message then but … and yes I grant she is well meaning but she is more than a little slow … she persisted and chopped up a couple and put them in my food bowl.  When I say “chopped up” she had the meat cleaver out and was hacking in to those mothers treats and they still weren’t breaking up easily.  And smell!  It was like something had died in the kitchen while she was working on them.  When the other Mummy came out she said something like “I hope you’re going to burn that chopping board and knife because they’re not staying here” before she quickly exited the room (that might have been gagging I heard as she walked – actually ran – to the bedroom). So those fish cubes (better described as die) are now either safely out in the garbage (repelling all comers) or back in their zip lock baggie destined to be handed on to a less-discerning and hopefully completely anosmic dog.  Phew.
That being said it was very nice of Sy and An to think of me and for sending them home with the Mummies to see if I liked them. I absolutely didn’t … and neither did Mimi because Sy and An sent some home for her as well.   I hope she did what I did when they were put in front of her … I scooped them out of my bowl and sent them flying across the room.  That’s a hard “no” Mummies.
