Home … almost alone!

M Kaz went out on Sunday and she isn’t back yet!  I’m not sure when I should start to be worried.  M Sooz is still here and she’s feeding me and letting me sleep on the bed with her and cleaning out my tray so it’s really all good … but I am missing M Kaz … and chewing on her legs!

To the vet?

It was washing day today which meant M Kaz went off with the wet washing and came back with it dried a couple of hours later. How does she do it? Does she just drive it around it the car until it dries or is there another step involved … like when she takes me out to get my nails done – which just looks like she puts me in the car and then when we come back later my nails are done. The car IS magic! Oh wait, she takes me to the vet to have my nails done. Hmmmm … so she takes the clothes to the vet too.

Mmmmmm … milkshakes

Yum … milkshakes and television!

Well that was a bit of a bust.  I had left the Mummies and Aunty M to watch Mare of Easttown but when I came back to see how they were going, they hadn’t been watching it at all … yes they had started but then there was a technical hitch and they ended up just chatting and watching Letters and Numbers (that’s a program) on SBS.  Then as if there hadn’t been enough spelling, the Mummies introduced Aunty M to Wordle – a word game on the internet where you have six guesses to find the word of the day. Today it was perky and Aunty M managed to get it in just three guesses – one whole guess better than the Mummies.  (Take that Mummies!)
Aunty M tried to do some washing while she was here – while she was still wearing her clothes.  I knew she was clever but that really was something to see.

M Sooz is a bit sad today.  Her very good friend So left for Central America today and she is going to miss her very much … and her cats because they are going with her … and Uncle David because he’s going too!  I hope they all like guinea pigs because I hear that’s what everyone eats over there.
M Kaz is still locked in her study … studying.  She’s up to the part in the assignment when she has to record herself speaking with someone (M Sooz) about the assignment.  That’s going to be fun … especially since I have see the glazed eyes when M Kaz talks about it (and not just from M Sooz!).

… and the little one said … roll over!

Australia Day

Australia Day was fairly quiet here except for the sound of fireworks off in the distance this evening.  M Kaz spent most of the day in her office … typing … typing … typing – except for when she came out for snacks and cups of coffee (she really does love her Aldi Wave coffee pod machine) or to cajole M Sooz into reading what she had written as part of her creative thinking assignment.  M Sooz was in her room reading Helen Garner’s Diary … or watching snake catcher videos (light relief!).  That meant I had to keep myself entertained most of the day. Thank goodness the sloths are friendly! Although we could do with some new little animals around here. l’ll speak with the Mummies about that. A Nigey can never have too many friends.
