Oops …

I keep standing by the door hoping Kaz will get the message and take me for a walk outside but she hasn’t yet. Maybe tomorrow. And if that doesn’t work, I’m just going to make a run for it – hopefully while Kaz is watching – I don’t want to get stranded out there! What if there are snakes – I know there’s something… I hear the noises out there during the night and I try to look and find out what it is because you know I want to keep them safe. But I haven’t been able to see it yet – and as Sooz will tell you, she’s heard me running up and down the house late at night, sprinting from window to windows looking for it.

Update: Well, I did it. I made it out into the yard today – Kaz had opened the door to come inside after putting the recycling and rubbish out and I was out so fast she had no chance of stopping me.

Update 2: That will teach me! My dash to freedom obviously did not sit well with the Mummies as they have since packed me up and sent me to Aunty Rosemary’s.

Asleep in the … sheets

I love that those Mummies are always thinking of new ways to make and keep me happy.  The latest (as well as having Uncle Wayne come to stay) is making me up a whole new bed made entirely of sheets.  It is so soft and warm and I just love it.  I have a feeling that they might take this one away in the next little while though because they keep saying that it’s time to change the sheets on their bed (and they are not wrong!) and I think that’s where some of my sleeping sheets came from … although it must be noted that that lot have been through the wash since they came off their bed … they just have to get round to folding them … although I don’t think they would be quite as comfy if they were folded.

He he … they’re both me … and no Sooz … my bottom does not look big in this shot!

Uncle Wayne has come and gone and I don’t think he’s going to be back for a while now.  He’s getting ready to set off in his “Van Go” or is it “Man Go” – they’re names Kaz and Sooz (and Aunty M) have come up with. I think Uncle Wayne (you know, the no-nonsense one) is just going to call it the caravan or maybe the XT12.  While he was here, he and Kaz were doing research for various odds and sods for it, particulary a non-flap bar for Van Go’s electric awning, and also a rafter bar.  They had a lot of fun looking it up on the interweb although I did notice Wayne was getting a bit frustrated with not being able to find the right part/s there for a while.
It has been raining here again and that’s been good for the frangipanis although it looks like they will be taking over the garden soon.  Hopefully they don’t go “Triffid” on us and start walking around the yard!

Me with my determined face on …

Flat out …

Well, it’s good having Uncle Wayne here but he’s keeping me so busy I haven’t had a chance to dictate any blogs to Kaz, so here are some pics of me to tide everyone over until we get back to writing more words.

Some splaining to do ….

Well Kaz, you’ve got some explaining to do.  What are all these other photos of cats doing on your phone?  And Sooz, you’re not out of trouble either. We’re not talking about a couple of photos here either – there are hundreds of them and more come through every day! And we’re not just talking about pictures of Mimi (former Archnemesis; now friend) here, these are all different cats; and, except for the ones wearing their Halloween costumes, not one of them has any clothes on! The good news is that some of them have bottoms way bigger than mine.
So, how long is this going to go on for? More importantly – how long has it been going on? I would have thought Kaz takes more than enough photographs of me that neither of the Mummies would need to go looking elsewhere for cat pics.  What’s that? They just arrive on your FaceBook feeds … like those ads for caravans on Kaz’s, and the Tourettes videos Sooz?
I am very happy tonight. Kaz just received a text from Uncle Wayne saying “Is Nigy, up for a visitor tomorrow?”  Am I?  Am I?  The answer is YES, Nigy is up for a visitor tomorrow. Hopefully it’s Uncle Wayne!
