More…eese (?)

I am fairly sure there is something out there in the yard but try as I might I can’t see it and Kaz just won’t let me out to have a proper look. At least Kaz mowed yesterday so there is a better chance of seeing “it” – whatever “it” is. There is the slightest possibility that it might be the rain because there has been heaps of that … or it might be those little toadie things that are thriving out there in the wet.
Aunty A came today… carrying all her gear in through the wet. She really does a good job and it’s wonderful seeing the Mummies running around tidying up the house before she gets here.
Oh … oh … and speaking of the Mummies, they went out shopping today and brought home another of those dashed plush toys … and this one sings. They have called him Morris or Maurice (rhymes with something sounding like geese or grease). When I was introducing myself to him, Kaz took a video. And then she had the camera out again this evening when I was trying to sleep in my new (bottom) box.

Me and More…eese

I am not a … dog!

Well well well … I don’t think I am happy about this at all Mummies. I am not sure whether it’s that it’s for a dog – no don’t try to tell me it’s not – there’s a picture of a dog on it – or that you think I’m such a messy eater that I need a tray to catch my crunchies! While there may be the tiniest teeniest bit of truth about the messyness, can’t we all just look the other way? Especially since with the wet weather we’ve been having, it’s not like the crunchies are crunchies at all – more like insipid little chewies. Yuck. Is it any wonder they end up on the floor?
And yes, it has been very rainy here … so much so that I have only managed to get outside once … on the lead … but I did manage to escape one other time, at night, while it was raining … which didn’t make Kaz happy at all! I wasn’t happy when she pinned me to the ground either … but I do understand that she gets worried that I am going to get away from her, maybe even over the fence.

Did she bring me the new green box especially so she could take a photograph of me in it and then say “See Nigey’s bottom does look big in this!”. I wouldn’t do anything like that to her … but she seems to revel in seeing my bottom.

Lounging around …

I do my best to keep busy but sometimes I just need to have a good lie-down and wait for inspiration to strike.

And here are a couple of me on the prowl … I can’t tell you how worried Kaz was the other night when I came down to peer out the window near the front door. We’re both wondering what was out there … while, we all know that there was a wee little lizard hiding out in the beach house.

What’s for dinner?

Of course that isn’t a picture of me on the tin of cat food Kaz – why would you even think that? And I don’t believe that there really are cats in there either – I wouldn’t be able to eat it if I even thought there was.  Hmmmm.  That would not be good.  But what would be good is if they put pictures of what is in the cans on them – because they should know by now that cats can’t read and it’s very hard for us to work out what’s in there.  I would like to know that there is premium-grade tuna or prawns or something else in there for me to munch on.  It would also make it easier for me to turn my nose up at some of the tins Kaz tries to feed me.  Yuck!  And wouldn’t that be easier on the Mummies if I could just point out a tin of food that I wouldn’t eat?  And then they could stop buying that kind … until I stopped eating those that I like today … but maybe not so much tomorrow.  Or maybe it would be better if I could read .. not a lot, not like novels or anything, but maybe just a basic menu of what I was going to have for dinner.  That way I could pick it out … and the Mummies wouldn’t need to guess and give me something which they will just have to throw out later because I didn’t touch it … except maybe a little around the sides … or to push it around the plate a bit to make it look as though I was kind of, sort of, interested in it.  Nah, who am I kidding … I wouldn’t do that!
