Out of the house …

What have they done to me? Bad enough that Kaz and Sooz ganged up on me to get me into the cage this morning … and then Kaz took me to the V-E-T. I really had enough of them last time. You know, I’m still sporting that bald patch on my neck from where they shaved me for the blood test!  And it wasn’t that much better today. Did someone say indignity?  I’m not sure why they think it’s okay to take someone’s temperature like that … because it is not – and how could that even work!

But the good news is that I’m okay but now I can’t help but wonder what indignities they showered on Sooz when she went to the doctor yesterday. She was a worried about going and having bits of her chopped off! Apparently that’s what dermo’s do.

I think it’s harder for humans – not just my humans – all of them! They have prior knowledge of their appointments so they have time to angst over them … with us – we know nothing until they scoop us up, force us and our 27 arms and legs into our carry cage, put us in the car and off we go – not sure if we’re destined to go on holiday at Aunty Rosemary’s or something else completely – like the V-E-T. It’s okay Mummies, I can spell!

This could have been me being low-key with Kaz Mummy but this the day before … I just wanted to be alone after the V-E-T.

I was a bit low-key after the visit – and I’m blaming that on the vaccination, and the worming, flea and tick treatment. What a bizarre thing. That they shoot you full of dead cells/organisms, so your body can fight them and you build up an “immunity” so if the live thing ever comes after you, your body recognises it and has the right “tools” to kick it to the kerb! While that’s marvellous, I would have preferred not to be sick at all. Not that I’m complaining though, because that’s nothing compared to what poor Oliver endured yesterday … as far as I could make out from the Mummies, it was something about a radical haircut – a “snip” I think his mother called it – but she wasn’t smiling when she said it.
