Home … and loving it!

Me … getting a bit comfortable!

Well … there’s no doubt about it, just as Dorothy said in “The Wizard of Oz” (the film) … there’s no place like home.  I’d like to say that I’ve been missing Boarding School but we all know that that would be a big fat lie.  But … and I am disappointed about this … I haven’t been outside once since I’ve been home … and not through lack of trying!  Yes, yes, I do know your stupid rule Kaz … no harness no outside – although that wasn’t the case a couple of weeks ago was it?  Not before Aunty M had a word with you and said it wasn’t a good idea to let me go unrestained out into the wild (well, the lawn hadn’t been mowed for a little while, had it?) … just in case I was frightened by a noise and scarpered over (or under … yes, I so too could fit) the fence!  And I thought Aunty M liked loved me … hmmmmph … “tough” love … I don’t think I like it!
But Aunty M did come to see me the other night … and to watch television with the Mummies.  They say they’re watching television but they seem to spend a lot of time reading while they’re doing it … because the program is in French (not as interesting a language as “cat” but we know most humans can’t cope with the intricacies and complexities of that) – and since neither Aunty M or Kaz actually speak French they have to read the tiny tiny print on the screen that translates it into English.  Sooz does speak French so she’s okay with it and sometimes laughs before the others because she gets the “joke” first because she doesn’t have to read it!

Hmm .. a bag, I’ll just mind it so they can’t leave me again!

I’ve been enjoying naps on the table with Kaz of an evening, being in the penthouse during the day (and night), and playing with my stringey thing – although I’m not quite sure what has happened to Blue ST, I know it came home from Boading School with us.

Is Blue ST in here? I know I’m not supposed to be in drawers but if I look away while I’m doing it, Kaz won’t know!
Nope … not there … I’ll just keep looking!

It’s me …

Home again … how wonderful is this!

Back where I belong … in my penthouse … sweet!

I was sitting on my top shelf in my room at Boarding School when I heard Kaz talking with Rosemary (who still has the green hair … I don’t think that that’s its real colour).  I danced around yelling:  she’s here, she’s here … but made sure I was sitting calmly by the time Kaz reached my room so she wouldn’t know I was excited to see her.  She came in with my travel cage to get me and when she did Rosemary locked us both in and for a moment I thought we were in real trouble … what if she kept us both in there … there wasn’t enough room for both of us … not for more than a couple of minutes anyway – not unless Kaz wanted to sleep standing up!  But once I was back in my travel cage, Rosemary opened the door and Kaz carried me out to … freedom.  Of course, I talked to her all the way home telling her everything that had happened to me … how they’d tied me to the roof and thrown rocks at me, and how they put someone in the room next to me and THEY HISSED AT ME … lots!  Yes, I know I did that when Dzambala came to stay with me but this was different … this wasn’t friendly at all!  (No … no … don’t worry about checking back on the blog to see what [really] happened with Dzambo … that would be a waste of time.)
Sooz was at home when we arrived and I went in and had a chat with her.  She was happy to see me too and she was very happy when I spent time with her today.  It was pretty hard to make sure I spent equal time with both Sooz and Kaz though … but you know how they get when I’ve been away … very very clingy!  I even had to sit at the window and pretend to be interested … and watching … as Kaz pushed the mower up and down the back yard!  The things I do for those two!  (Yes, Kaz and Sooz, you just think about that the next time you decide to put me into Boarding School while you go off lolly-gagging and having a good time!)

Off on … holidays?

I cannot believe Kaz just did that! Or that she did the next thing! Let me go back to the start so you can see the depth of betrayal and disloyalty we’re talking about here. It started when I woke up this morning: Kaz was a bit strange – make that a lot strange … so I really should have worked out that she was up to no good. By the time I did (work it out), it was already too late! She had locked me out of the bedroom and the penthouse!!! And then she went outside (yes, without me) and when she came back she had that horrible cat travel cage. They should call it: the cat travel to somewhere they don’t like cage because I only ever seem to go to the vet on to the places where all the other unloved cats go … boarding school when she puts me in there! And boy did she have a hell of a time getting me into the carry cage – next time she will definitely get Sooz to help her. How many legs do I have? The same number as when she tries to get me into that 4H (Hot Horrible Hairy Harness).
When I get back from Boarding School (that’s where she took me once she had me in that cage!) I’ll give Kaz a chance to redeem herself – she can start taking me out for a walk every day! Let’s see how much she complains about that!

Home sweet home … it’s just not the same without me Kaz and Sooz!

Bedside shenanigans

Why don’t they let me have a bedside table? I have so many beds but not one table beside any of them. So, what’s a girl to do? The only thing I could of course … I appropriated one of theirs this morning – Kaz’s. She didn’t seem to mind – She seemed happy – she was busy taking photographs of me lounging, trying to get comfortable around all the junk she keeps on the side table, chewing cables … the usual.

There have been a few photographs over the last few days – there seen to be more photographs when it’s wet – they do try to go outside when it’s raining but they aren’t very good at it. Kaz did go out yesterday and when she came back she was so wet she had to go take a shower. How does that work? Wouldn’t it have just made her more wet?

They did find time to do something constructive though – they fixed my caravan! It’s been a flat pack for a few weeks so it was a bit of a surprise when Kaz peeled it off the living room floor and took it to the table and started folding and sticking – and needing my help. What could I do? I had no choice … I helped. And then I took it for a best drive … and, yes, I may have been speeding a little bit – that’s the only way I can explain the rollover. Don’t worry – I’m okay – really… all I can say is thank goodness they haven’t bought me a high performance vehicle yet. Goodness knows though… I am an excellent driver.
