Happy New Year

Well they finally seem to have remembered where they live because they are home again. Kaz is even talking about putting the bags away so they seem to be home for a while – although they could just be being tidy: no, I’m right, they’re home for a bit now. I am going to miss Aunty M coming to feed and spend time with Me  – but hopefully she’ll still come around.

Part of what I do when no-one is here.

Syl came around today and she had a crate with a monster in it! Luckily she left “Blue” out the front when she came in otherwise I don’t know what would have happened to him: except that it would have been: Nigey: 1 Blue:O. He was a nice colour though – and there’s no chance of forgetting what he looks like because Syl gave Kaz and Sooz a calendar with pictures of Blue and also their cat Tilly on it – cute!

Desk … with Nigey and knick-knacks.

Hmmm, a calendar with pictures of me – wouldn’t that be a wonderful thing? I wonder why Kay and Sooz never thought of it – and if they will now.  It’s not as though they don’t have enough photographs of me – or maybe it’s because it would be so hard to pick only 13 (one for the cover) of my very best pictures. (Kaz are you listening?)

Is this photo good enough for my calendar Kaz?

I have been helping Kaz get used to her new desk, even keeping it company while they’re away – or just out. I like that she’s put Groot, the giraffes, her dinosaurs and the Minions in it – it gives me someone to play with – and rearrange in the little shelves and nooks and crannies.

Pink chair and me …
Another photo of me … and my new chair!

But what I really love – besides the best caravan in the whole entire world that I got for Christmas – is the new pink and bronze-coloured chair that came with the desk. It is wonderful – comfy, big – and it’s my colour.  Sooz says that – I can’t see it myself … colour that is. I still like my pizza box too … come to think of it, I’m one lucky Nigey … especially if Kaz and Sooz stop going away and leaving me here all alone.  The great news is that they’ve agreed to stay home tonight – New Years Eve – so we can all usher in 2021 together! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I forgive you

I was wrong … as it turns out Kaz and Sooz can buy my affection. My other Christmas present arrived this morning. I love it … I love it … I love it. I love it so much that I will even share it with them! Thank you for my desk … hereinafter known as Ollie Tedesco (I let them name it)!

Almost home alone … again … still

This is why I don’t like being here without anyone around to control that bl**dy elf!

If they think they can soften me up by giving me things for Christmas, they are sadly mistaken.  This does not make it okay for them to go away and leave me for days at a time!  Well, overnight … but they are still gone for days!  And yes, they do arrange for Aunty M to come and see me … but she isn’t them … and she usually reeks of carries the gentle scent of my arch nemesis MiMi.  But at least when she came while they were away in Ipswich this time, I was able to show her my caravan!!

Yes, you heard me … a caravan … so now I can pack up and go whenever I want.  I don’t have to hang around in the bag waiting for them to take me with me.

Waiting patiently in my bag so they will take me with them …

Come to think about it, I’m a little bit sad they didn’t let me go to Rosemary’s so I could have said I’d been somewhere too … but no, that’s not true … otherwise how would I get to see Aunty M.  I love Aunty M.  She is so kind and wonderful and she gives me the best pats and face rubs (are you listening Kaz and Sooz … are you getting jealous yet?  I hope so!) and I would live with her, in a hearbeat, if she asked me.  (Are you listening Sooz and Kaz … really, I’m not joking!)

It’s my fish … don’t even think of trying to get it off me! See those claws … I am not afraid to use them!

I bet Aunty M wouldn’t be taking photographs of me all the time because that’s sometimes all that it seems Kaz does.  And if she’s not doing it, she’s asking Sooz to do it for her.  Still, if she didn’t take as many photos, I wouldn’t have them to put on my blog.  (Aunty M would probably take better photos though … Kaz … are you listening?)
Heh heh … I know I’ve got the last laugh on them for leaving me here alone though … Aunty M left them some cookies the other day when she was here visiting me and they think she left them 10 of them … but did she?  Did she really … or did she leave more and I ate them … or hid them … or … stay tuned!

Yum yum yum … lovely bikkies … and I’m saying no more … I’m off to take a nap!

Fetch

I do not know what Kaz is thinking sometimes. Take today. She was in the bedroom doing the Trivia Quiz with Sooz – who had already beaten her in working out the 9-letter Target word – violently – that was the word not how she did it. Kaz has said Novelty but wasn’t even close! So, they’re in there and I go in to see what they’re up to and because I like them – even though they are still calling me the DESTROYER OF CHRISTMAS TREES (yes, me … imagine) and refusing to put decorations up, even though Kaz is talking about getting some snow for Olaf’s tree – I take in what’s left of my stringy thing (after Kaz ran over it with the vacuum cleaner) – as a gift for them, and what does Kaz do? She takes it from where I have gently (and lovingly) placed it at her feet, throws it out the bedroom door and shouts “Fetch”.  Fetch?  Really?  What does she think I am? A dog? Well, needless to say I didn’t run to do her bidding – and won’t be any time soon.

A tree, Olaf, me and a reindeer saying something rude like “I see what they mean about Nigey’s bum!”

They had their bags out earlier today – and from that and all their talk about “Rosemary” and “Nigey’s going on holidays” I knew something was afoot. They have been talking about the Lismore Christmas Lights and seeing Ja but I’d thought they were just going down for the day. Apparently not… but it doesn’t matter now because they’re not going after all. Apparently everyone is very excited about the Covid bug again – especially since it has been found in their poop water (why on earth do they keep it? And what are they doing with it to be worried about it once it’s in the place where they keep it? So many questions you’d have to think it would be so much easier if they just used litter trays!) And because they’re all excited again, the Government is closing the borders so people can’t get in: DO NOT COME they’re telling people who don’t live in Queensland; and to people who do live in Queensland who aren’t here at the moment, they’re telling them to hurry home while they still can. So Kaz and Sooz have decided to stay home… and I know they’re serious because the bags have been put away and Aunty M has been told she doesn’t have to pick me up from Rosemary any more.

They’re not the only ones with bags!

They still have done nothing about getting the back deck closed in – except to listen to Aunty M about not using cat netting without thinking about the size of the holes – it would keep me in but may not keep out other things that I could catch and take in to them as gifts. I bet they wouldn’t casually pick up a snake and throw it out the door for me to FETCH.  But wouldn’t it be fun to hear the screams!

Me … looking after the Christmas tree they are keeping in Kaz’s office … and silently reflecting (get it … this is a mirror!)
Cat yoga … nah!
Keeping Kaz company in her office.
All hail the new Pizza Box. (Thanks Aunty M!)
