Lonely … lonely … lonely

I can’t believe they let Dzambo go home – and just after Istarted liking him and all. I admit I didnt like having him here at first – he was intruding on my territory after all – even though technically he was here first – or so Kaz and Sooz say. He stayed here last October when he was just a kitten and his mother was in India. That explains some of the toys I’ve found around the house … like the mouse and the feathers – I figured they weren’t Sooz and Kaz’s. But that’s not what’s important right now … what is is the other cool stuff he brought with him. The best was his cat tower – which arrived the day before he did – so I had a heap of time to play on it before he got here. I’m glad Sooz and Kaz noticed because they decided they needed to get me one – and it arrived on Friday – and then I helped Kaz assemble it on Sunday night. It took us forever! At least my bestie Dzambo didn’t have to see that! He’d already been sent home on Saturday- and they didn’t even check with me if it was okay! I know it looked as though I was pestering him (and maybe I was) but it was good to have someone else to rub noses with and play with … yes there were growls and snarls and some claws and maybe a scratch or two – but it was all good fun – and after those first few days he wasn’t spending all his time under the couch. And who knew it would be so comfy under there: I’ve been spending a bit of time under there since he left – and yes, I do fit … and I fit in the hammock on the cat tree too!

Catching up …

For someone who is always chasing me out of the office, Kaz certainly fell down on the job the other night. Not only did she not check to see if I was in there … she locked me in and I was in there – my own personal AlCATraz – all night. Thank goodness they finally came looking for me … and thank goodness (for them) I was able to “hold on” all night long.
I tried some new cat cookies this week and I think they may have been what didn’t agree with me.  I’m not used to things coming back out my mouth after I’ve eaten them. but they really did … FOUR TIMES!!!  It must have sounded horrible –  it did when Kaz was wiping it up off the floor in the dining room and the laundry.  She didn’t make that sound each time though.
It would be nice if Kaz and Sooz would get me a gym or something huge that I can climb on. I’m using the fridge and the shower screen and the top of the kitchen cupboard and … well, nothing is off-limits … just to try and keep myself in shape.

The week that was …

The harness has not made a reappearance … yet … but Kaz said the other day that when I fall asleep we’ll try it again. She hasn’t yet but that could be because I haven’t slept since then … except where she can’t get to me … like in the window seat Aunty An brought for me, or under the bed, or now that I’ve worked out how to make sure Sooz and Kaz lock themselves in their bedroom at night, in the living room but only when I’m sure they’re asleep and not likely to come out and catch me.

Uncle Chris was here earlier this week and was kind enough to leave the toilet unattended . Hmmm … toilet water … and lots and lots and lots (and then some) of toilet paper.
